Presentation at The International Fashion Showcase

During AW15 London Fashion Week I was lucky enough to have my first ever presentation at the International Fashion Showcase. I'm not going to lie, the hour running up to the show was probably one of the most stressful of my life but, so worth it in the end! We started with a live Q&A with Martyn Roberts, Director of Graduate Fashion Week where we spoke about cultural exchange in fashion design and how it affects the design process. I would love to talk a bit more about what was discussed but the whole thing was a bit of a fuzzy blur, my most vivid memory was worrying that the audience would be able to see my heart thumping through my roll neck. It was beating so heavily from the adrenaline that I thought it may have cracked a rib at any given moment.
Luckily, or not so luckily, there was a film crew there to capture the whole thing. I am yet to see the clip but it will be available soon... Keep checking back for more...

Before I leave you with the last serving of images I have a few special thanks

Maroon London - Model Management,

Tomas Turpie - Event Photographer

and

The British Council for making it all happen!

We were the last event at the IFS this season but before the International participants had chance to start packing up their stands we commandeered Nigeria's exhibit and used it as a back drop. I'm sure they didn't mind...

Fashion Scout AW15

Cross-Pollination was presented by the British Council at this seasons Fashion Scout, Emerging Designers exhibition. Like the Graduate Showcase in September 2014 it was a non-stop day of conversation with the occasional nip-off to the fridge for a coconut water.

The exhibition was set up in the vestibule of Freemasons Hall providing an opulent backdrop for the 11 collections on show during the event. The selection panel at Fashion Scout did an amazing job of picking such an eclectic range of collections that catered to all tastes.

After the amount of swapped business cards, I'd say that the outcome of the day was extremely positive, being able to converse with industry is so beneficial and gave me such a strong trajectory into the creation of SS16... Can't wait...
